Description

Diabetes and CVD are closely linked as diabetes increases the risk of developing CVD by 2-3 times. This chapter of the CVD Masterclass covers the prevalence of CVD globally and in Africa, pathophysiology of type 2 diabetes (T2D) and CVD, various complications, ADA and ESC recommended screening and tests, preventive care for patients with diabetes and pre-diabetes, platelets and treatment targets.
