Description

Hypertension is one of the major risk factors of cardiovascular disease and disability worldwide, particularly leading to severe consequences in low- and middle-income countries, where it places a significant strain on public health systems.

This paper details on strategies to improve awareness, treatment and control of hypertension through a call to action that urges all African nations to adopt better strategies to improve outcomes. The goal is to significantly increase the rates of diagnosis, treatment, and control of high blood pressure across the continent.
